Obituary of Leo Francis Hughes

HUGHES, Leo Francis - 87, of Halifax, NS passed away on April 21, 2011 in the Fisherman?¢s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in New Ross he was the son of the late George and Olive (MacDow) Hughes. Leo was an Automotive Technician over the years. He had a passion for nature and he raised his sons to be the same; for years he and his wife ran a Christmas tree lot in Halifax. Leo was a very committed member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by his sons Bradford, Lahave; Michael, Halifax; William, Halifax; Mark, Halifax; and brother Ron Hughes, Sheffield Mills. Besides Leo?¢s parents he was predeceased by his wife Marion (Skerry) Hughes; brothers Vincent, and Ken; sisters Madeline MacDonald, Rose Keddy; Mary Wolf. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Church, 26 Purcell?¢s Cove Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia with Fr. Joseph Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers; donations may be made to the St. John The Baptist Church.
