CLEVELAND, Mildred Bernice - 72, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at her home. Born in Canard, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Kathleen (Viner) Archer. Mildred had worked at Sawler Gardens for many years and had enjoyed her time there. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Mildred was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch # 69, Berwick, and enjoyed family reunions and socializing at bingo. Surviving are sons, John (Jan) Cleveland, Gaspereau Valley; Charles Cleveland, Berwick; Clyde (Christine) Cleveland, London, Ont.; grandsons, John R. Cleveland, Kentville; Charles W. Cleveland, Kingston; great-grandson, Ethan Lombardo, New Minas; sisters, Helen (Bob), Kentville; Shirley; Rose; Josephine; Thelma; brothers, Hartley, all of Hamilton, Ont.; Bill, Grafton; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Everett Cleveland; son, Kenneth; sisters, Belle, Elaine, Kay and Gene; brothers, Robert and Ronald. Visitation for Mildred will take place from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm., Friday, April 29. Pastor Galvin Simmonds officiating, with burial in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
