METZLER, Viola Lillian - 96, Kentville passed away peacefully June 14, 2011 In Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Halls Harbour, Nova Scotia on September 6, 1915 she was the daughter of the > late Harry and May (Keddy) Huntley. Viola was a seasonal bookkeeper at Scotian Gold in Canning, Nova Scotia. Viola was a caring loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her family always came first. She enjoyed shopping and traveling with her husband and friends to places like Florida and Europe. She is survived by son Fred (Rosalie) Metzler, daughters Joanne (Metzler) and Norma (Metzler) as well six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she is pre-deceased by her husband Ransford, brothers Arthur, Lloyd and Everett, and sister Cora. By request of the family there will be no visitation. Funeral service for Viola will take place Saturday June 18, 2011 at 2p.m at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home in Wolfville with Bill Bryant officiating and a reception to follow. Burial will take place at the Canard Cemetery. Donations in memory of Viola can be made out to the Valley Regional Hospital or to a charity of choice.
