Middlemas Evelyn Jessie (Sally) 98, of Berwick, passed away peacefully, Tuesday June 14, 2011 at Silver?¢s Guest Home, Berwick. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was a daughter of the late George and Arabella (Higgins) Chisholm. Evelyn was a member of the Berwick United Church, a past member serving on the Board Of Stewards, a choir member for sixty years and Chair member of the UCW, she was very involved in the Berwick United church Campground, volunteer at the Grand View Manor for many years, lifelong member of Mayflower Chapter # 2, Aylesford, Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as secretary, member of St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge # 43, Berwick. Evelyn was a grade four school teacher at Berwick & District School for many years, she was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, member of the Kings Crusader Senior Citizens Group. She enjoyed Knitting, and spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Evelyn is survived by daughters, Sheila (Ian) Robb, Berwick, Sharon Bethune, Kingston; grandchildren, Leslie-Anne Robb-Schroeder (Michael), Washington, Andrew Robb, South Waterville, David Robb, Lunenburg, Craig (Heather) Bethune, Halifax, Peter (Shannon), Sackville, Jason (Tracy), St. Croix; great grandchildren, James, Cathy Schroeder, Benjamin, Daniel Robb, Haileigh, Cameron Robb, Matthew, Lauren, Jessica Bethune, Alex, Brianna, Brock, Isaac Bethune and one Great Great Grandchild. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff of Silver?¢s Rest Home for the loving care shown to Evelyn over the past nine years. Besides her parents, She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Robert, brothers; Carl, John, Sheldon. Visitation will be held Friday, June 17,2011 from 7-9 pm at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Berwick United Church Rev. Linda Winton officiating. Interment will take place in Berwick Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Donations in memory may be made to the Berwick United Church, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
