HUNTLEY (Hogg), E. Jeanne - 57, of Harbourville, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with family at her side. Born in East York, Ontario, on April 22, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Lillian (Roblin) Hogg. Jeanne was raised in Scarborough, Ontario, and enjoyed weekends and holidays at the family cottage near Bancroft, Ontario. She was employed for 20 years as a medical secretary before retiring to Nova Scotia in 1994. Jeanne was an avid quilter and turned this into a second career she truly loved and was devoted to. She gave guidance, strength, encouragement and instilled a thirst for knowledge to all she met. To her - Bernina Girlsì³ she not only shared her knowledge and love of quilting, but gave love, laughter and a piece of her heart. Her dedication to her work, passion for quilting, infectious laughter and ability to instil knowledge to others made her a great lady, - The Bernina Ladyì³. For those lucky enough to be Jeanne?¢s friend they had a great confidante, a compassionate listener, a shoulder to cry on and a friend to laugh with. She will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know her. She was predeceased by both her parents. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 37 years, Will Huntley; will be sadly missed by sister, Lynn (Bruce Ray); brothers, Neil (Linda), Bancroft, Ont.; John (Cathy), Scarborough, Ont. - Aunti Jì³ has several nieces and nephews in both Ontario and Nova Scotia who she loved dearly. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of Jeanne?¢s life will take place at the Berwick & District Fire Hall, 300 Commercial St., Berwick, on Sunday, July 10, from 2-4 p.m. Donations in Jeanne?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of ones choice.
