WEATHERBEE, Earl William - 79, Wolfville passed away July 9, 2011 at Grand View Manor, Berwick where he resided for the last four months. Born December 30, 1931 he was a son of the late Gilbert and Clara (Jessop) Weatherbee. Earl enjoyed family get togethers, politics, hockey and in his early years loved to play hockey. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a past President of the Wolfville Lions Club and past President of the Dr. C.B. Lumsden Branch # 74, Royal Canadian Legion, Wolfville. Earl was a plumber by trade and had worked for the Nova Scotia Department of Highways, New Minas.Earl is survived by his wife Gertrude (Smith); daughter Sandra (Ron) MacKeen, Kentville, Evelyn Morrissey, St. John?¢s, NF; sons Jeff (Theresa), Kentville and Curtis (Zelda), Gaspereau; daughter in law Pat White, Steam Mill; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters Florence Shanks, Wolfville, Marilyn (Alan) Weisner, Marina (Barry) and; brothers Willie (Jenny), Calvin, Ernie (Carol), all of New Minas; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Earl was predeceased by step son Carl Smith; grandson Chandler; sister Shirley; brothers Albert and Lewis. There will be no funeral by request. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday July 13, 2011 in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. Family flowers only. Interment will be in the Willowbank Cemetery. Donations in memory of Earl may be made to the Grand View Manor, Berwick, The Canadian Cancer Society or to The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
