GRAVES Bedford Bligh - 92, formerly of Aylesford Kings Co., passed away, on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Orchard Court, Kentville, with his family by his side. Born in Ross Corner, Kings Co., he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Thorpe) Graves. Bedford operated a large mixed farming operation in Victoria Harbour for many years. In later years he was employed as a Sales Representative for Ronn Baltzer Equipment Limited, Aylesford. Bedford was well known throughout his life as a avid horseman winning many prizes, with his teams, at Fairs and Exhibitions. He was a member of the Burlington Baptist Church, had served on the Board of the Annapolis County Exhibition and was a life member of the Aylesford and District Lions Club. Surviving are a daughter, Nadean Graves, West Halls Harbour; son, Terry Graves (Yvonne), Weston; granddaughters, Nicole Graves (Andrew Taylor), Meadowvale; Marcy Graves (Blair Isnor), Hacketts Cove; sisters, Marjorie Pineo, Kentville; Hazel Foster, Auburn; Dorothy Foote, Ross Corner; Clara (Blake) Winott, Kingston and special friend Jennie Morton, Berwick. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Ada (Coleman) Graves; brother, Luther; sisters, Francis Longley and Pansy Rogers. There will be no visitation. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, July 22, at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Rev. Donald Hirtle officiating, with burial in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
