Turpel, Charles Edward - 59, Hardwood Lands, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 19th, 2011. Charlie was born in Shubenacadie and resided in Harwood Lands for 36 years. Charlie is survived by his wife, Elsie (Pearl); his children , Chris (Belinda), Elmsdale; Adam (Megan Fleck), Fall River; Anna (Darren) Sienor, Dilmond Road; Greg (Heather Macnearney), Hardwood Lands; his mother-in-law, Ferne Pearl; and children thought of as his own, Walter and Tracey (Children Arlena, Sam, Zack) Prince, Kevin and Christine Dulong, Randy Ragloonanan, plus many more. Charlies is survived by his grandchildren, Kimberly, Justin, Logan, Kenneth, and Troy; sisters, Anna Hartford (Dan), Alberta; Mary Hamilton (Ken), Alberta; brothers, Blair (Rod), Halifax; Keith, Shediac; David (Tammy), Alberta. He is predeceased by his father Kenneth and mother, Pearl; brother, Leo and sister, Carol; father-in-law, Bob Pearl; brother-in-law, Kenneth Pearl. Charlie drove truck for 41 years and worked for Dartmouth Metals for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and canoeing. He passed away doing what he enjoyed most, camping. He will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends. Heaven has a new angel and the stars are sparkling just a little bit brighter. No funeral service is being held. Family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. On Saturday any wishing to drop by to give condolences to the family are welcome. A BBQ will be held Sunday, July 24th, 1 p.m. at Mill Lake, Dean to celebrate Charlie's love of family and friends. Everyone welcome.
