McIntyre, John Kevin - 83, passed away peacefully in the Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital on July 28, 2011. He was the son of John D. and Florence (Penny) McIntyre. Kevin grew up in Dartmouth where he exceeded at sports. He moved to Toronto but soon moved back to Nova Scotia where he lived in Waverley for many years. Kevin went on to travel and work as a Land Surveyor in Nigeria and the Arctic. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a baby daughter Mona. Kevin is survived by daughters Kristy Wasser, North Carolina, Stacey (George) Bridger, Antigua; sons Stephen (Stephanie) McIntyre, St. John?¢s, Newfoundland, Dan Forrestal , Dartmouth; sisters Marilyn (Ash), British Columbia, Donna (Tom) Maguire, Peggy?¢s Cove; his dearly beloved companion Rebekah Canning, Middle Musquodoboit; the mother of his children Sonya McIntyre, St. Johns, Newfoundland; 9 grandchildren Danny, Kurtis, Krystal, Selina, Erica, Jenna, Levi McIntyre; Danielle and Blake Wasser, who will miss him greatly; along with many nieces and nephews. Kevin was a man who marched to the beat of his own drum - A one-of-a-kind Renaissance Man. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private burial in Boisdale, Cape Breton at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Association and Lung Association Nova Branch.
