Obituary of Oran Edward Leopold

Leopold, Oran Edward - 82, of New Ross passed away August 3, 2011 in the South Shore Regional Hospital. Born August 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Arthur and Edith (Walker) Leopold. Oran is survived by his wife Madeline (Chambers), daughter Hilda (Dimock), Newport; sons Michael, New Ross; Raymond, New Ross; step-son Robert Chambers, Newport; devoted grandson Doug and his wife Linda, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews, brother Merlin Leopold, sisters Vivian (Harvey); Marie (Pineo); Muriel (Hughes); and twin sister Aurine Levy. Besides his parents, Oran is predeceased by his son Roger, and daughters Deborah and Eizabeth, brothers Kenneth, Kempton, Herman, Merdic, and Jack, sisters, Alice and Bertha. A resident of New Ross all his life, and worked in the logging and Christmas Tree industry. One of his great pleasures was having daily visits especially at meal time with the devoted shared family pet (Goojin). Cremation has taken place under the direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St. Wolfville Nova Scotia, B4P 1E7. A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New Ross Fire Department or to a charity of choice.
