PEARSON, Louise Marie (Barkhouse) - 80, Windsor passed away August 10, 2011 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Wolfville she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Linda Mary (Amerault) Barkhouse. Marie worked for 36 years with Keyes Fibre, Hantsport. Marie was an active member of the Hantsport Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She served as secretary of the Kings Daughter, a fund raising organization within the church, and secretary for the Women?¢s Missionary Society for 15 years. She was in the Hand Bell Choir at Dykeland Lodge. Marie enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading. Marie enjoyed her neighbours and making treats for them. Marie is survived by son Blair Pearson; daughters Shirley Lee (Darrell) Johnston, Hantsport, Judy (Chris) Masters, Kentville; grandchildren Peter (Tracey) Johnston, Hantsport, Michael (Jocelyn) Johnston, Brooklyn, Wray Johnston, Hantsport, Samantha Pearson; great grandchildren Miranda, Macie, Kyle, Ceilidh, Tiffany, Robbie, Steve and Shelly; several nieces and nephews; dear friend Lewis Benedict, Dykeland Lodge. Beside her parents Marie was predeceased by brothers Sonny and Howie. A funeral memorial service followed by a reception will be Tuesday August 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville with Rev. Daniel Jamer officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
