Moody, Laurie Earl - 84, of Windermere, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Grafton on October 25, 1926; he was a son of the late Lawrence and Estelle (Lutz) Moody. He worked at many different jobs, including cooking and operating restaurants. In later years he owned and operated L.E. Moody Construction Co. Ltd. Laurie is survived by his wife the former Jean Adams (Turner). Surviving are two sons Lawrence (Brenda), Wilmot; Jeffery, Windermere; daughters Leslie (Mark) Spicer, Berwick; Sheila (Roy) Harris, Cambridge; step-sons Allan Turner, Bear River; Eric (Shelley) Turner, Kentville; step-daughter, Kimberley (John) Hackney, Hamilton, ON; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step-grandchildren; brother Gerald, Toronto, ON; sister Ruth Amero, Toronto, ON; sister-in-law?¢s Nina and Joyce Moody, Berwick. Laurie is predeceased by his former wife Jennie May (Fredericks); a son Earl; brothers James; Wilfred; Floyd; Harold; and sister-in-law Mary Moody. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday September 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home Chapel, Berwick with Pastor Tim Bigelow officiating. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Palliative Care Foundation at Valley Regional Hospital. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home and Crematorium, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, Nova Scotia B0P 1E0.
