Hare, Lewis - 86, of Dutch Settlement, Colchester Co. Passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Dutch Settlement, Nova Scotia on May 22, 1925, he was the son of the late Albert and Della (Hurshman) Hare. Lewis loved anything to do with antique cars. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and brother. Lewis will be dearly missed by his sons, Tim Hare, Tracey (Donna) Hare, Trevor (Lisa) Hare; brothers, Lionel and Cecil; sisters, Vivian, Betty, Carol, Angel, and Lorraine, five grandchildren, Connor, Cole, Shauna, Allie, and Jessie. Besides his parents, Lewis is predeceased by his wife Shirley (Wright) Hare, daughter Sheila-Lou, brothers, Billy (William), Reginald, Laurie; and sister Evelyn. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 15, at 11a.m at the Milford United Cemetery, Milford, with a reception to follow at the St. Georges Hall, Dutch Settlement. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
