TAYLOR, Reta Eileen - 91, Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born on October 31, 1919, in Aylesford, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Evelyn (Hiltz) Taylor. Reta was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a devoted Roman Catholic, member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Berwick, where she was a member of the C.W.L., and had worked for many years at the Parish Rectory. Reta loved music, singing, playing 45?¢s, travelling, and cooking, especially hosting family dinners. Reta was predeceased by sisters, Sibyl MacLean, Verona Wamboldt, Doris Bennett and Evelyn Uebbing; brothers, Ronald, Gerald, Bernard and James Taylor. She is survived by a nephew and a number of nieces. Visitation for Reta will take place from 2-4 p.m., with the Rosary at 3 p.m., both on Friday, in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 120 Mill St., Berwick. Rev. Fr. Larry Pitcher officiating, with burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church or to the Grand View Manor. Special thanks extended from the family to Dr. Robin Bustin and the caring staff at the Grand View Manor.
