Dear John and families: I just read of your momchr(39)s passing and wish to extend my condolences to you all. Long gone are our school and band days and our hair is now showing signs of silver but our memories of times spent in an old gym in a school now long gone travel throughout our lives with us forever. Basketball games, band concerts, variety concerts, graduations, bake sales, etc. our mothers were always there. I can see your mother standing on the doorstep waving as that old duce and a half ground to a stop, on a snow Sunday afternoon, and a long, skinny kid crawled in to the back with a bunch of half frozen kids on their way to band practice. I can see your mother, with her "perfect blond hair", talking and laughing with other parents after we had all just managed to "squawk" our way through another performance of Pomp and Circumstance. It is a lovely tribute which was written in honour of a wonderful lady. We all remember her fondly. I never come of Exit 10 that I donchr(39)t look up on the hill and remember that was the house Bruce built for Susan. As much as you will miss her, take comfort in knowing that they are all together again and watch over you all from afar. Sonya Curtmar Farms Ltd. Fort Ellis, Colchester Co., N. S.

Dear John, Peggy, Joe and families,
We learned of your motherchr(39)s passing on Monday night and extend our condolences on your loss. She was certainly a great mother, teacher and role model. John, I remember she was teaching us in grade 5, as I believe she was substituting for Ruby Levy. We were doing a lesson whereby we were given a word to pronounce then define. I had the word "epidemic" and not only could I not define it, my pronounciation was so far off, she didnchr(39)t even know what I was trying to say. I have never forgotten the word to this day and the little lesson about doing homework. She was always there for everyone and logged many miles transporting us to various extracurricular activities and sports. She will be sadly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families at this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I was saddened to hear of Thelmachr(39)s passing. She was a teacher of mine at Gaspereau Elementary many years ago, many years as I am now 39! She was such a warm, loving, and caring person. Always acted more like a grandmother to little ones who were in her class. She most definitely will be greatly missed. But take courage in the hope found at John 5:28, 29, a resurrection of people to a paradise earth.

Joe, please accept my sympathy on the passing of your mother. Although I met her infrequently over the years, I was nevertheless impressed with her enthusiastic embrace of life, and I want to mention how wonderfully her spirit was captured in her obituary. Beautifully written, creative, whimsical and moving, it was a most fitting final tribute to a full and loving life, well lived.

The world has lost a beautiful soul. Thelma was my teacher at Gaspereau Elemntary back in the 60chr(39)s. In Grade 5 she awarded me with a book for being the best all-round Geography student. You could not wipe the smile off my face for weeks. I was so proud of that book. Over the years when I felt like I was failing, her smiling face would pop in my head and I could still feel the reassuring taps on the shoulder telling me I was going to do fine. She will be missed beyond words. My deepest sympathy to the family.

We are very sad to hear about Aunt Thelmachr(39)s passing. She was a wonderful, interesting, kind women who enriched our lives. One of my best memories was during the last time Dad (Bill)and his son Troy stayed at her home. Her gentle teasing and the many shared (and often repeated!) stories had us all smiling and it was one of the happiest times in Dadchr(39)s later years. We will miss her a great deal but she will not be forgotten. With much love
