Obituary of Loraine William Croft

Croft, Loraine William - Peter쳌 - 69, Sherbrooke Lake, Maplewood (formerly of Hantsport), passed away surrounded by family Thursday, October 13, 2011 at South Shore Regional Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Kentville, he was the son of the late Franklin and Thelma (Lightfoot) Croft. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; sister Christine (David); son, Mark (Monica); daughter Cindy (Terry); and grandchildren, Shyla, Keely and Rogan. Dad (Poppy) took pride in supporting his children in all their sports as they grew up in Hantsport and faithfully chauffeuring us around the province, giving us a pat on the back or a shoulder to cry on. He never said no when an extra driver was needed or a favour was asked. Dad and mom retired to Sherbrooke Lake where they took pride in living the cottage life and making and entertaining many friends over the years. Dad always lent a hand where needed and took enormous pride in his grandchildren. We will miss him greatly. Graveside service to be held at Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, at 2 pm, Tuesday, October 18. Reception to follow at Hants Border Community Hall.
