HOUGHTON, Bessie Floretta - 86, Kentville passed away December 7, 2011 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Huntington Point she was a daughter of the late James and Odessa (O?¢Hara) Houghton. Bessie loved cats, especially her special friend - Susieì³. She had a great personality and loved to joke, her favorite joke was her - little mouse jokeì³. Bessie enjoyed dancing; her favorite saying was - shake what your mama gave you. Bessie is survived by several nieces and nephews and her best friend and caretaker Patricia. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Joe;John, Murray, Garfield; Sister Augusta. There will be a memorial service Monday December 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Evergreen Home For Special Care with Mary Anne Doherty-Fleet officiating. Donations in memory of Bessie may be made to the SPCA Kings Branch or to the Evergreen Home For Special Care. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 568 Main St., Wolfville, N.S., B4P 1E5, (1-877-542-4656).
