Alberta Belle (Lawrence) Bailey - On December 14,2011, the Montreal Canadians lost their biggest fan. Alberta Belle(Lawrence) Bailey,91, passed away peacefully at Annapolis Royal Nursing Home with her family by her side. Born in Yarmouth on November 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Maybelle (Shorn) Lawrence. Mom spent her married life in Lequille. The passions in Mom?¢s life were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, the Montreal Canadians, the colour red and Country music. She got great pleasure from making her grandchildren and great grandchildren laugh with her funny stories and antics. She had a wonderful sense of humour. Mom is survived by her children, Connie, Montreal, Walter, Ontario, Fred(Linda), Lequille, Yvonne (Coleman), Weymouth Falls, Juggy (Diana), Lequille, Peter(Debbie), Kentville and Allen, B.C., 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Leroy, Lorenzo, Oscar, Montclair, and Sheridan , sisters Juanita, Sylvia, and Eunice. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence, granddaughter Wanda, brothers Rai, Alvin, Garfield, Delacey and sister Henrietta. Cremation has taken place . No visitation by request. A memorial service to honour Mom?¢s life will be held at 2:00 p.m.on Monday, December 19 at St. Luke?¢s Anglican Church with Canon Ken Vaughn officiating. Interment in St. Alban?¢s Cemetery, Lequille. Reception to follow at Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Donations in Mom?¢s memory can be made to Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. The family wants to thank all the staff of Annapolis Royal Nursing Home for the exceptional care, love and compassion given to Mom for the past 5 years.
