Broome (Lantz) Betty Geraldine - 79, of New Ross, passed away peacefully in her home. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Eliza (Wentzell). Betty was known for her wonderful sense of humor. Her pride and joy was her family and her entire life circled around them; Betty treated everyone as equals. She will be dearly missed by her loving family; sons Darrell (Sonya Intini); Dale (Bonnie); David (Sherry); Alan (Antoinette); all of New Ross; Wade (Jennifer Sibbley), Digby; Craig (Janet Pound), Yellowknife; daughters Janice (Glen Pye), New Ross; Suzette (Elson Boylan), Chester Grant; brothers Earl (Joyce) Lantz, Mahone Bay; Clayton (Lulu) Lantz, New Ross; sister Mary Lantz, New Ross; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents; Betty is predeceased by her husband, Arnold; daughters Chella Robar; Peggy Pye; and grandson Brody Greening. A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 27th, 2011 from 7-9 pm in the Serenity Funeral Home, New Ross and a service will take place on Wednesday December 28th at 2 pm in the New Ross Baptist Church with Pastor David Hine officiating. Donations in Betty?¢s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice.
