Obituary of Mary Estelle Morse

MORSE, Mary Estelle Loomer - Peacefully at age 90, in Berwick on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 (born June 7, 1921). Daughter of P.L. Morse and Martha E. Morse (n�©e Loomer). Loving sister of Margaret Best (n�©e Morse) (d. 1986), Helen Morse (d. 2006), Lawrence Morse, John Morse, Harold Morse, Donald Morse (d. 1998), Gerald Morse (d. 2007), and Ruth Ann Harris (n�©e Morse). Loving and generous aunt and great aunt to twenty-two nieces and nephews and their children, and countless other extended family members. "Aunt Mary" to all, Mary was steadfastly committed to her family, all of whom were touched by her boundless joy and good humour. All will dearly miss her. Mary's contributions to the lives of her brothers, sisters and their children were innumerable and extraordinary. Mary was imbued with the spirits of compassion and loyalty to the Morse family. All Morse children were touched by her love, and Mary also vastly nourished the lives of her siblings, supporting and caring for them throughout every stage of life. Mary worked at Canadian Keyes Fibre in Hantsport until her retirement in 1986 when she returned to live in Berwick. Mary opened her home to all in need of company, a good listener, a wonderful meal and a warm, well-appointed bed for rest. Mary kept meticulous records of every new birth and made it a point to know and remember the birthdays of all of her ever-grateful nieces and nephews. Mary leaves for following generations an exemplary legacy of loyalty and devotion. Funeral service will take place Berwick Baptist Church on Saturday February 18 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow. Burial will be private family service.
