Acker, Basil Eugene - 72, of Berwick, passed away suddenly in his home on Wednesday February 29, 2012. Born in North River; he was a son of the late Asseph and Goldie (Daniels). Basil loved music and he and his wife travelled the Bluegrass Circuit since 1979. His favorite music was bluegrass and old time country. Basil was the founder of the Windermere Hall Jam Sessions that he had initiated in an effort to raise money for the hall. He enjoyed spending time - tinkering쳌 in his wood working shop. Basil and Marion also spent a great deal of time camping. He will be remembered, as well, for his love of a good argument. Basil will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty years, Marion (Robichaud); daughters Joan (Victor) Mullen, Priestville, Saskatchewan; Tina (Cameron) Chapman, Waterville; grandchildren Jody (Chancy) Hollett; Jeffery (Rebecca Cox) Chapman; great granddaughter Naiomi Chapman; brother Lowell (Donna), Rexdale, Ontario; sister Virginia (Ivan) Collicutt, Chester; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his sisters Muriel Boutilier, and Ivy Graves. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Windermere Community Hall, 402 Windermere Road; on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. blessing offered by Rev. Harold Beaumont.
