Jefferson (Lutz), Pearl Madeline - 94, passed away on Friday March 30, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lake George, she was the daughter of the late Malby and Edna (Tufts) Lutz. Pearl worked for most of her life for Canada Post and in fact ran a Canada Post office from her home in North River. She later moved to Toronto, ON where she worked for Canada Post until her retirement. Pearl was very crafty and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, needle point, and rug hooking. As well, she loved taking short trips with her husband Howard. Pearl will be remembered as a very independent lady with a strong perseverance. She will sadly missed by her daughter Elizabeth (Alden) MacGregor, Charlottetown, PEI; sister Daisy (Joseph) Austen, Ottawa, ON; granddaughters Wanda MacGregor, Charlettetown, PEI; Glenda (Stephen) White, Charlottetwon, PEI; great grandchildren Joel Arsenault; Benjamin Younker; Christopher White; Lucas White; Sarah White; sister-in-law Louise Lutz, Cape Breton; and many nieces and nephew. Pearl is predeceased by her brother Carrol Lutz; sisters Ethel (the late Alex) Middleton; and Marion (the late Wilfred) Nauffts. A visitation will be held on Wednesday April 4, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick from where a funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2 p.m. Donations in Pearl?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
