Survived by brother Erik, Denmark. PÃ?öul enjoyed a full life. He courageously served as a teenage Captain in the Danish underground during WW II and was part of a famous daylight raid in Holland to free prisoners of war. After the war he attended the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at Odense, Denmark. Upon graduation in 1951 he moved to Canada and proudly served Canada's Pulp and Paper Industry in various engineering capacities until retiring from Bowater Mersey, Liverpool in 1988 to Wolfville, N.S. where he and Anne enjoyed a happy retired Valley life. PÃ?öul had many loves. He loved Canada, his community, his days of flying gliders, his days at the Greenfield cottage, fine wood working, opera, gourmet cooking and of course his greatest love - Anne. Throughout his working and retired life PÃ?öul always gave back, contributing much to many. He was especially proud of his work in retired life where he served as the founding chairman of the Annapolis Valley Waste Resource Management team who developed a solid waste reduction process that is now the envy of the world.
