SCHOFIELD, Mildred Alfreda (Rogers) - 97, Wolfville formerly of Centreville passed away April 19, 2012 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born in Pereau, Mildred was a daughter of the late David and Loretta (Warden) Rogers. Mildred spent her early years in Baxter?¢s Harbour. She had worked for Canard Poultry and the Nova Scotia Sanatorium retiring in 1958. She loved to travel and had visited places like Puerto Rico, Arizona, Toronto, California and Nashville. Mildred was a member of the Centreville Baptist Church and a member of T.O.P.S for 30 years. Mildred is survived by sons Harry (Doris), New Minas, Erwin, Mount Uniacke, David (Donna), Greenwich; daughters Viola (Harry) Fox, Brockville, Ontario, Joyce (Don Howe) Leslie, Tiverton, Ontario; sisters Edith Cameron, Moncton; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Mildred was predeceased by her husband Gordon; daughter Ruth Eye; brothers Bill, Brian, Ralph, Howard, Leslie, John, Everett; sisters Gladys Ellis, Jessie Schofield, Ethel Foss, Beatrice Tibbetts, Bessie Graves, Kathleen Hazel. Visitation will be Tuesday April 24, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 25, 2012 in the Centreville Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Potvin officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Donations in memory of Mildred may be made to the VON or the Centreville Baptist Church.
