BURGESS, Merton Roderick - 70, Newport, passed away peacefully at Hants Community Hospital with his family by his side on May 7, 2012. Born in Windsor on March 1, 1942, he was the son of the late George Olyn and Bordon Hermina Burgess, also step-mother Irene. He is survived by his wife Lorraine Dianne; sons Merton (Janet), Alberta; Brian (Terri), Lower Burlington; Justin (Melissa), Hantsport; daughters Belinda Burgess Kowalchuk (John), Alberta; Penny Burgess, Alberta; Becky (Tim) Lake, North River Rd; Brother Angus (Mary), Upper Burlington; Robie (Jean), Ontario; Philip (Donna), Lower Burlington; step-brothers Fred Sanford, Avondale; Lincoln Sanford, Alberta; sisters Marlene(Rheal) Thiboutot, Ontario; Deanna (John) MacCumber, South Alton; step-sisters Ann and Kay. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend James Power. There will be no funeral by his request, and cremation has taken place.
