Kent, Earle Lamont - It is with great sadness that on March 29, 2012, Earle Lamont Kent passed away unexpectedly. Earle was surrounded bu his loving family at the time of his passing. Earle has gone to be reunited with his wife of 50 years Jean Helen Kent who passed away in 2006. Born in 1934 at West Saint Andrews, N.S., Earle was the son of the late Reta and Raymond Kent. Earle was a wonderful father and he will be greatly missed by his daughters Sheila Archibald, Debbie Foster (Jon), Cindy Vash (Tom), and Brenda Smith (Carl). He will be sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, as well his sister Mabel Loughead, Helen O'Neil and brother Victor Kent. Earle is preceded by his sister Carol Spencer. Those that knew Earle know that his companion of 2 years, his dog Max, is grieving the lose of his best friend, Earle. Max was Earle's loyal friend and constant companion. We, the family are very proud of our dad, as he settled into his new life after the loss of his wife, our mom in 2006. He loved to have visitors, and you could count on an amazing down-home meal when you were there. We have so many great memories of our dad. Earle worked for the Canadian Air Force; Canadian National Railroad; Lougheads Trucking and the South Colchester School Board. Earle was a member of the Truro Royal Canadian Legion. Earle has been cremated and there will be no formal funeral by family request. Family will have a celebration of life and burial at a later date. Earle will be buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Stewiacke East, next to his wife Jean. Thanks to the nurses & Doctors at Colchester Hospital that made it possible for family members to say farewell to Dad. And special thanks to our sister Brenda, brother in law Carl, and our niece Ashley. Earle has gone, but will never be forgotten; he lives in our hearts and memories and will be always and forever loved.
