WOOD, Darrell Charles - Davidì³ - 50, Halifax,surrounded by family and friends passed away peacefully in the QEII New Halifax Infirmary,VG Site on October 7, 2012. Born in East York Township, Ontario, he was a son of James C. Wood, (Parrsboro) and Ellen E. (Crowe), (Oland) Gouchie, Amherst. Besides his parents, Darrell is survived by his son, Cory Wood, Halifax; sisters, Charlene (Brent) Reid, Hantsport, Cheryl (Keith) Wood, Joggins, Cumberland Co.; brothers, Randy (Faye) Wood, Amherst, Percy (Michelle) Gouchie, Eastern Passage; several nieces and nephews and friend Lana Lawrence, Halifax. Also step sisters, Pam (Steve) Loga, Moncton, and Glenda (Ian) Moss,Sydenham, Ontario, and stepbrother Robert (Sharon) Gouchie, Shubenacadie. Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 13, 2012 in the Collingwood-Wyvern Cemetery,Cumberland County with Lic. Chris Van Luven officiating. Donations in memory of Darrell may be made to the Unit 7A, Palliative Care, VG Hospital. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home & Crematorium, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, NS, B4P 1E7.
