MAGEE, Douglas Glendon - 86, Kentville, passed away on October 13, 2012 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville after a short battle with cancer. Born in Auburn, he was a son of the late Allison and Gertrude (Ewing) Magee. Douglas was a veteran of the Canadian Military. He served for 29 years retiring in 1973. He continued in various other capacities within the military until 1989. He and Edna loved to travel North America by car. They enjoyed visiting family and friends. He and Edna shared a wonderful life for 62 years. Douglas is survived by children, Glen (Donna), Alberta, Sheila (Steve) Millar, Alberta, Bryon (Helen), British Columbia, Allen (Sue), Ontario; grandchildren, Shane, Brett, Justin, Wyatt, Wayne, Kelly, Erin, Terry, Crystal, Stephany; great grandchildren, Grayson, Evangeline and Logan. After Edna passed away, he found love again with his companion Ardythe Davison. Besides his parents, Douglas was predeceased by his wife Edna; brothers, John, Howard, Willis, James and a grandchild, Randy in infancy. Cremation has taken place. At the request of Douglas, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Douglas may be made to the charity of choice.
