McLellan, Vernon Keith "Mac", Chief Engineer Marine (Ret) - 72, of Upper Rawdon, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 8, 2012. Born in Picton, ON; he was a son of the late Carl and Dorothy McLellan. Mac loved to drive his motorcycle, play his guitar, and go to the horse races at the Truro Raceway on Sundays. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sheila (Hobson); daughter Shannon (Veronica), Lower Sackville; sister Carol (James) Way, Lower Sackville; Donna (Max) Raffoul, Leamington, ON; brother Stephen, Kingston, ON; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother Tim. In keeping with Mac's wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at the Sackville Lions Hall, 101 Old Beaverbank Road, on Friday November 16 from 7-9 p.m. Mac's family would like to extend a special thank you to sisters Judy Miller, June Hobson, Valerie Fraser for all of their help and support. Also thank you to the Palliative Care Nurse Dawn Martell, VON, and Dr. Michele MacLean. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hants County Palliative Care.
