CAPELL (Drew), Marjorie Kathleen "Kay" ?쳌 Berwick. It is with the deepest sorrow, that we announce the passing of Marjorie Kathleen "Kay" Capell, beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and friend who passed away peacefully after a life of six days short of 91 years filled with love, caring and a strong belief in the rights of others. Kay, as she was known by everyone, was born on a cold stormy November 23rd, 1921 on her grandparent's farm in Rockland, Kings Co.. Weighing only two pounds at birth, the doctor said she would not survive; beating all the odds, she grew up into a beautiful healthy woman. Kay was a hardworking woman, who spent many hours working at MW Graves and Company. Kay never asked for riches in life but spent her time helping everyone who needed it. She saw everyone as an equal, and once her friend always her friend. She devoted her life looking after family members or friends. Kay left a lasting impression on all who was fortunate enough to know her. Kay was predeceased by her grandparents, Melbourne and Olivia Drew; sisters, Helen Drew, Gertrude Conrad and Sadie Hall; brothers, Marshall, Aubrey and Ford; also half sister, Faye Thomas and half brothers, Carmen and Delbert Conrad. She was predeceased by grandson, Vance Capell in 1993. Kay will be lovingly remembered by sons, Terry (Denise), Aylesford; David (Elaine), Auburn; grandchildren, Matthew (Marie-Claude), Ottawa, Ont.; Natasha (Chris) Fields, Champaign, Ill.; Amanda Freeman, Halifax; Theresa, Halifax; Linda (Steve), Toronto; Cindy (Drew), Gaspereau; great- granddaughters, Piper Quinn, Champaign, Ill.; Georgia, Toronto; Maggie, Gaspereau; Amaya and Italy-Rose, Halifax; and great-grandsons, Drew, Toronto; David and Andrew, Gaspereau; as well as half sister, Kelsey Herman, South Berwick; and friend, Carole (Thor) Moose Jaw, Sask. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 20 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick where a funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mitchell Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Berwick Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Grand View Manor or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank Dr. Goddard and the staff of Grand View Manor for the wonderful and compassionate care that Kay received while she was a resident there.
