Obituary of Bonita Nelson

Nelson, Bonita Rosalie - 57, passed away in Spryfield on December 10, 2012 after a long and courageous battle; fighting one disease after another. Born July 12, 1955; she was a daughter the late Ashton and Elsie (Owen) Nickerson. Bonny is survived by son Gary Newell Saskatoon; daughters Trina Bethelmy, Ontario; and Nickelle Nelson, Spryfield; brother Ashton Nickerson, Alberta; and sister Lilla Porter, Port Saxon. She was predeceased by sisters Audrey Haynes and Gail Nickerson. Bonny was a hairdresser for 25 years until she was diagnosed with cancer in 1998. Her reason for living and fighting was her daughter Nickelle. She was determined to live to see Kell graduate and we "Thank and Praise God" she did. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 150 Port Clyde Road, Shelburne with Pastor Lilla Porter officiating. Donations may be made on her behalf to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Port Clyde or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
