Obituary of Percy Herbert Rodney Henshaw

Henshaw, Percy Herbert - Rodney쳌 - 81, Greenwich, formerly of Lockhartville, passed away on December 14, 2012 at Blomidon Court, Greenwich. Born July 4, 1931 in Lockhartville, he was the son of the late Percy and Mary (Brewster) Henshaw. Rodney worked for Minas Basin Pulp and Power Company Limited, Hantsport for 15 years prior to moving to western Canada. He later returned to Nova Scotia where he worked a variety of jobs until his retirement. Rodney was a kind and generous man who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending hymn sings. Rodney is survived by sons, Samuel, Alberta, Paul, Alberta; sister, Alice Parker, New Minas; brothers, Earl, Lockhartville and Warren, Ontario. Besides his parents, Rodney was predeceased by a daughter, Heather; Brothers, Richard, Gordon, Joseph, Paul, Sheldon, George and infant brother, Harry; sisters, Irene Schofield, Annie Spencer, Alma O?¢Brien, and Ida Spencer. Visitation will be Tuesday December 18 from 7-9 p.m. in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville where funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 19 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will be in Willow Bank Cemetery. Donations in memory of Rodney may be made to the Lockhartville Baptist Church, to Palliative Care or the charity of choice. Rodney?¢s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Blomidon Court for their loving care given to Rodney.
