Doherty, Beatrice Frances – age 88 years of Grandview Manor, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 21st, 2013. Born in New Ross on January 2, 1925; she was the daughter of the late Beacher and Clara (Lenihan) Veinotte. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Hank (Carolyn) Doherty of Greenwood, Reg (Doris) Doherty of Black Rock, Paul Doherty of Chipman Brook and David (Maggie) Doherty of Somerset; daughter Pauline Llewellyn of Rockland; sisters Pauline Keizer of Lunenburg and Edna Gale of North Sydney; half brothers Freddie Veinotte and Dougie Veinotte of the South Shore; half sister Carolyn Burgoyne of New Germany; also by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a large circle of extended family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Howard Doherty in 1999; daughter in law Eileen Doherty in 2012; son in law David Llewellyn, earlier this year; brother in law Bernard Keizer; brothers Ottis and Hubert Veinotte; half brother Earl Veinotte. Visitation will be held at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel (192 Commercial St.) on Monday, March 25th, 2013 from 7-9pm; from which the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 at 2pm with Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial to take place in the East Black Rock cemetery. Family flowers only please. In memory of Beatrice, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
