I would like to pass on my sympathies to Jim's family. He and June and my parents (Chuck and Winnie Sabean) were good friends in the Navy and afterwards and enjoyed special times together. I was lucky enough to join Jim and Dad on several fishing trips and I cherish those memories.

My deepest sympathy Lorraine, Paul , Peggy and family and to Dale and many friends of Uncle Jim. I loved him very much. He was especially close to my Dad, Bill or (Midge )They had a very special bond. One that was hard to transcend. They both wore their emotions on their sleeves and were very sensitive men. They are up in heaven together now enjoying talking about the good old days! The last thing he said to me was that "he was fine" and that he loved me too. He will be missed .

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I remember the several times our families got together, many years ago, as a result of my Dad & yours attending St. Mary's together. Your Dad was great and was always interested in what was happening in our lives. He definitely had a way to make others feel special. I'm sure you will miss him very much. Take care of each other. Sincerely, Debbie MacKenzie nee Lacey

To Jim's family: my condolences on the passing of my best buddy(way back in the 1950's)when I served in Naval Aviation on the Carrier HMCS MAGNIFICENT & Squadrons. Jim and I got along famously, enjoying good times in the Naval Service, as well as social times with Jim & June in Halifax. Jim was a great buddy to have, and I missed knowing where he moved after leaving the Navy.

Aunt Lorraine, Paul & Dale; You are in my thoughts and prayers. I was very grateful to have Uncle Jim as my God Father when I think back to all the times when we were kids and our visit to 13 Francis street. Although I have been on the west coast now for over 20 years, it was always so nice on trips home to see Uncle Jim and share memories with him... Again, love to all in this time.... Much Love Marilyn (Uncle Bernies Daughter)
