Obituary of Helen Orena Schofield

Schofield, Helen Orena – age 82 years of Windsor, passed away peacefully on May 25th, 2013 at the Hants Community Hospital. Born in Windsor Forks on February 9th, 1931; she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Evelyn (Tracey) Schofield. Helen worked for many years as a seamstress at the Windsor Textile Mill and loved to knit and sew. She handmade many hats and pairs of socks for her family and friends. She loved to play cards and spend time with her special friends and close family. Left with many great memories are her brothers Milton (Betty) Schofield of Falmouth, Carl (Joan) Schofield of Windsor Forks and Burp Schofield of Upper Falmouth; sisters Madeline Fisher of New Minas and Vivian Shaw (David) of Windsor Forks; sisters in law Connie Schofield of Windsor Forks and Myra Schofield of Greenfield; also by a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by her parents Aubrey and Evelyn; brothers Doug, Harley, Earl and Ervin; sister Myrna Weston; brothers in law Raymond and Wilbert and sister in law Pauline. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at the Riverbank Cemetery in Hantsport on Friday, May 31st, 2013 at 2pm with Pastor Craig Faulkner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen, made to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
