MACHINEK, Elizabeth - of Cheverie, Nova Scotia. It is with deep sadness that the family of Elizabeth Machinek announces that she passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2013. She was born in Yugoslavia on September 1st, 1931. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1953, then in 1974 moved to Nova Scotia. Elizabeth was a valued employee of Keyes Fibre in Hantsport until her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Manfred, daughter Marianne (Daniel) Dew, sons, Heinz (Laura) and Larry (Della Brown, Cheryl); grandchildren Natalie, Nathan, Sonia, Brett, Jillian, Andrew, David and great-grandchildren Eoghan, Rainer, Lilli, Ashlyn. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Cathryn Smith and the staff at the Hants Community Hospital for their wonderful assistance during this difficult time. Memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7027 Hwy 14, Sweets Corner, Hants Co., N.S. on August 3rd, 2013 at 2 p.m. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to Windsor Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, SPCA or to a charity of one's choice.
