Loomer, Patricia Ruth â age 83, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2013 at the Valley Regional Hospital. She had been a resident at New Visions Rest Home, South Berwick for the past 10 years. Born in Aylesford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Loomer. Left to mourn are her son David (A.L. VanWyk) Beck; daughter Joy (Gordon) Lightfoot; grandson Jeffrey (Janine) Beck; great grandson Jake, all from Ontario. Also her sister Gertrude Cook, Berwick. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Harley Beck; sisters Lula Foster, Laura Foster, Florence Hiltz, and Maude Nichols; brothers Charles Loomer, Everette Loomer, and Howard Loomer. There will be a private graveside service for family members only on Wednesday June 19 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mary Perkins officiating. Donations in memory of Patricia may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS (Park Lane Mall - Level 3, 5657 Spring Garden Road, Box 245, Halifax, NS, B3J 3R4).
