Walker, Ronald Ambrose - age 68 years of New Ross; passed away suddenly at home on June, 20, 2013.Born in New Ross on March 24, 1945; he was the son of the late Ambrose Vincent Walker and Alice Lavinia Leopold. He worked in construction and forestry for many years. He was well known as a person with many talents. Ron was a kind hearted, giving man who was respected by all who came to know him. He had a love of animals, gardening and children.He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Mabel Elizabeth (Snell); daughters Rhonda Walker (Steven), Patty Levy (Michael) and Ronalda Dawn Walker (Walter) all of New Ross; grandsons Joshua and Lucas; chosen granddaughter Madison Jade; brothers Francis of Kentville, Murray, Laurie and Robert (Emmy); sisters, Marcella Carver, Anne (Patrick) Hiltz all of New Ross, Ella (Cecil) Mcdow of Stellarton; also by many nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his sisters-in-law Ora, Hilda and Gladys; brother-in-law Gerald. A celebration of Ronaldâs life will take place Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 from 2-4pm at the New Ross Legion Branch #79. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Ross Fire Department.
