Cook, Rhoda Valentine â age 77 years of Wolfville; passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. Born in Wolfville; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mable (Kelly) Cook. Left with fond and loving memories are her brothers Murray (Myrtle) Cook of Avonport; Lawrence (Dorothy) Cook of Springfield; sister La Vaughn âBonnieâ Porter of Wolfville; special niece Linda (David) Hudson of New Minas also by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Kenneth, Cecil and Owen: sisters Marjorie Hegarty, Jean McInnis, Jenesta Guptill, and Leata (in infancy). In keeping with Rhodaâs wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 2pm from the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rhoda made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would like to send a special Thank You to Dr. Allison Wellwood, VON home care nurse Jean Ramsay, nurses and staff on the medical B at the Valley Regional for such great care given to Rhoda.
