Obituary of Roelof Timmerman

Timmerman, Roelof “Rudy” – age 76 years of Centreville; passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital on June 17, 2013 . Born in Holland on Sept 13, 1936; he was the son of the late Machiel and Egbertien (Derks) Timmerman. Rudy spent the majority of his career as a finishing carpenter and had owned his own construction company. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Florence “Flo” (Brown) Timmerman; son Blake (Leanna) Timmerman of Abbotsford, BC; daughters Marianne Nagy (Kirk) of Abbotsford, BC and Melanie Blacket (Julia) of Hope, BC; brother John (Linda) Timmerman of Langley, BC; sister in law Gay Timmerman of Kamloops, BC; six grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Grant; brother Tom and sister Eppie. In keeping with Rudy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held from the St. John’s Anglican Cemetery on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10am with Rev. David Garrett officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rudy made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.
