Obituary of Colleen Amae Hovell

Hovell, Colleen Amae – age 71 years of New Minas, passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital on June 30, 2013. Born in Wolfville on June 16, 1942; she was the daughter of the late Colin and Marion (Jordan) Atwell. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Tanya Hovell (Joel Nadeau) of Maine, USA; special granddaughter Hannah Nadeau; sisters Joyce Nowlan (Karl) of Falmouth, Geneva Long (Phillip) of New Minas, June Morine of New Minas, Sharron Walsh (Doug) of Gaspereau, Sandra Atwell-Tennyson (Brian) of Bridgewater and Theresa Edwards (Robert) of Dawson Creek, BC; also by a large number of extended family and friends. Predeceased by her son Michael Hovell; grandson Shaun Hovell; sister Jo Colson; brothers in law Jack Colson and Ernie Morine. In keeping with Colleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11am from the Melanson Mountain Cemetery (East Davidson Rd) with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Colleen made to the Canadian Lung Association would be greatly appreciated by her family.
