Obituary of William Spencer

Spencer, William Robert "Bill",€“ age 81 years of Aylesford; passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital on July 18, 2013. Born in Kingston, England on October 18, 1931; he was the son of the late Robert and Lily (Drewitt) Spencer.

Bill spent 14 years working in the armory division of the Royal Canadian Air Force and also worked for many different plumbing companies.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Jean (Barkhouse); son Glenn (Margaret Strum) of Aylesford; daughters Paulette Justice of Calgary, Marlene Spencer (Alfred Thibault) of Aylesford and Sandra Melanson (Jim) of Ottawa; brother in law Kurt Hasselhorst of North Carolina; seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his sister Joyce Hasselhorst; son in law Greg Justice and great grandson Xander.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Dr. Judith Saunders officiating. In memory of Bill, donations may be made to the charity of the donor'€™s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel (192 Commercial St) 538-9900.
