NICHOLS, BRADLEY EVANS - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved brother at his home in Oshawa, Ontario on July 15, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 50 years. Born in Berwick on July 18, 1962 he was the son of Maude (Loomer) and Ambrose Nichols. Brad is survived by his brothers Dr. Blair (Susan) of Wolfville, Terry (Debra) of Waterville, Darrell (Jane) of King City, Ontario; sister Kathryn (Gary) of Halifax; step son Bobby of Oshawa, Ontario; also by many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Brad was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Ida (Smith) Loomer, paternal grandparents Myron and Blanche (Morton) Nichols. Brad was most recently employed by General Motors of Canada. For several years he volunteered for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season. Brad was a great lover of music and hockey. A fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs since childhood. Brad's greatest joy came from the love and companionship he shared with his beloved dog, Sasha. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 1-2pm at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel; from where the funeral service will begin at 2pm with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (5826 South Street Halifax, Nova Scotia B3H 1S6).
