Liam and Brian,
I was so very shocked and sad to hear of your mom's passing today. I loved her. Growing up across the street from your family in Bridgewater are some of my very favorite memories. She was always so sweet and so encouraging to me. I loved her sweet, welcoming, huge smile! I'm so thankful we got to reconnect in the last couple of years. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Xoxo

We have been visiting Kingsburg for most summers since 2004, and have enjoyed the area and the people there. So much so in fact that we bought land on Beach Hill Road last year with the intent of building a summer home there eventually. Fran was instrumental in the purchase, through many years of patient discussions and candid advice. We were saddened upon our arrival this year to learn of Fran's passing. We were not even aware that she was ill. We will miss her sage but pointed advice, and her friendship. I will also miss her habit of calling me 'Johnny', something that I rarely encourage, but which somehow seemed apt whenever she addressed me. Our sincere condolences to her family, and the many friends that she had in her extended community.

Our deepest sympathies to you Brian and Liam and all Fran's family. The news of Fran's passing has been a shock and the loss is felt widespread throughout our community. Fran was a friend and a bit of a den mother to us always delivering gifts and advice as our family grew. We were touched many times by her generosity and kindness. Her light will shine brightly in our memories and she will be sorely missed. "...we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun..." Shine on, Frannie!!!

For many years, the Miseners and my family lived across the street from each other in the 50s and 60s. Francine was 5 years my senior, and as such, babysat me and my brothers, Mark and Scott. What a treat it was when Fran came . . . we made pizza, stayed up just a little later and laughed and sang along with her records! We kept in touch infrequently after her marriage to Bart, knowing of happiness in life with him and their beloved sons. She was much loved by us. Sail on, fine girl!

I was shocked & saddened to read of Fran's death in today's Herald. I had some of the most fun times of my life with Fran & Bart & still remember with fondness my times on "Cheers" and many coffees on Scotia St. When I look back with fondness on the 90s I always think of Fran. My condolences for your great loss. Love Lucine

Dear Brian and Liam, Sailing with your parents was the closest we came to the perfect combination of a sailing lesson and having some of the happiest memories of our lives. They were sailors who could not have been more generous when it came to passing on their knowledge to others. With Cheerâs tiller, tucked between a forearm and chest created a memorable impression that they and their beloved âCheersâ were part of one another. Your parents taught us what it meant to have confidence in one another. For example, returning to Lahave from a week of NSSA races, your parents decided it was an opportune moment to have a close look at Shag Rock. Having a thorough look gave us all the more reason to give such hazards a wide berth. Within the hour, we were approaching Bull Rock; they asked me to keep a close watch by standing in Cheerâs bow as we sailed along the shallows that are part of this hazard, a lesson that caused us to give this area the wide berth it deserved and, I like to believe, that your Mom and Dad trusted us with their beloved Cheerâs too! We wish you to know that, as best we can, we share your sorrow and cherish the memories of the time spent with you, your Mother and Father. Love, Barbara and Pat

I was just sitting here thinking about our last "outing" to Hubbards. The music, the food, the evening sky, and most important...you. My friend, my "sister", I miss you but like you made me promise you that day many months ago...you will live on through me and my adventures. You would have loved the dory rowing the other night, Mary feel the Harbour!. Cheers! Pam

Fran, you were indeed larger than life. I always started my visits to Lunenburg by finding you and having a visit. I will miss that. You energized so many of us with your wit and generosity. I will miss you. Go rest high on that mountain. Barry Fader

Fran's smile, as wide as the ocean and as warm as the sun, welcomed us to Lunenburg. We were lucky enough to count on her professionally and blessed to call her our friend. We will miss you.
