Obituary of Sadie Helena Banks

Banks, Sadie Helena – age 92 years of Chester, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters at the Shoreham Village on August 1, 2013. Born in Mink Cove, Digby Co. on July 11, 1921; she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Flora (O’Neil) Titus. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughters Shirley Baxter (Bernard) of Oakfield and Louise Yassinsky of Bridgewater; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; sisters Elaine Milbury and Dorothy Handspicker both of Digby; brother Irving Titus of Mass USA. Predeceased by her loving husband Bernard in 1974; sons Gary and Terry Banks; daughter Diane Fraser and grandson Robert Holmes. In keeping with Sadie’s wishes, cremation has taken place a graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 from the Rossway Cemetery, Digby Co. at 2pm with Rev. Donald Robertson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sadie, may be made to the Rossway Cemetery (c/o: Linda Robbins R.R#4 Rossway Digby Co N.S B0V 1A0).
