Shaw, Pearle Lenora – age 101, of Scott’s Bay passed away peacefully at St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish on August 13, 2013. Born in Scott’s Bay on June 3, 1912; she was the daughter of the late Harmon and Birdie (Corkum) Irving. Left with fond and loving memories are her son John I. Shaw (Gail) of Sudbury, MA and daughter Judith A. Shaw of Antigonish; grandchildren John I. Shaw Jr. (Janice) of Manchester NH, Karen Smith (Steve) of Lincoln MA, Joseph Shaw (Julie) of Shrewsbury MA; great grandchildren Stephanie (Karl) Clifford of Arlington MA, Stacie Smith of Waltham MA, Erica Smith of Lincoln MA, Samantha (Chris) Becker of Derry NH, Christopher Shaw of Manchester NH, Jillian Shaw of Manchester NH, Joseph William Shaw Jr. of Shrewsbury MA, S. Elizabeth Shaw of Shrewsbury MA, Benjamin J. Shaw of Shrewsbury MA; great-great grandchildren Christopher and Tyler Becker of Derry NH; sister V. Joyce Purdy of Eliot ME; also by special nephew Richard Irving MacPherson of Osoyoos, B.C. Predeceased by her parents, loving husband of 49 years John; 9 siblings and brother in law Rufus Purdy. Visitation will take place at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville Chapel (568 Main Street)on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6-8pm. Funeral service to take place at the Scott’s Bay Union Church on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Larry Welch officiating. In lieu of flowers donation in memory of Pearle may be made to the Scott’s Bay Union Church or the charity of donor’s choice.
