Pye, Daisy Aldena of New Ross, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2013 at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton with family by her side. Born in New Ross on January 10, 1923; she was the daughter of the late Franklyn and Idella (Leopold) Jollymore. She was a member of the Christ Anglican Church, the Golden Age Club, the Ladies Auxiliary and a proud lifetime member of the New Ross Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #79. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Alva (Bev) of Auburn, Emery (Janet Cleary) of Coldbrook, Glen (Janice) of New Ross, Wilford "Biff" of Whitecourt, AB, Blake and Brian of New Ross; daughters Janet Mason (Leslie) of Indian Path, Ella Strickland (Tim) of Lunenburg, Nancy Robinson of Sudbury, ON, Ola Melanson (Tim) of Estevan, SK and Susan Leopold of New Ross; brothers Foster (Jeannie) Jollymore and Karl (Phyllis) Jollymore; sister Rita Meister (Vaughn "Bud") all of New Ross; sister in law Jean Jollymore of Chester Grant; 26 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; special friends Manning and Theodore; also by many nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Predeceased by her loving husband Vincent in 1998; sons Wayne and Bobby; daughters Leona Swinimer and an infant baby girl; daughter in law Peggy Pye; brothers Basil and Lindsay; sisters Ruth Lake, Thelma Kaizer and Olive Thibault; brothers in law Alcide Thibault, Frank Kaizer and Ray Lake; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A special thank you to the Dr's, nurses and staff at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital and at the Valley Regional Hospital, and Homecare for all their love, care and support shown to Daisy and all her family during this difficult time. Visitation will be held from the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, New Ross on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross at 2pm with Rev. Judi Phillips officiating. Interment to take place at the Anglican Church Cemetery, New Ross. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daisy may be made to the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department or to the Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.
