Sweet, Joyce Evelyn - of Middleton; passed away at the Valley Regional Hospital on September 10, 2013. Born in Kentville, Joyce was the daughter of the late Earl and Janet (MacArthur) Forsyth. Throughout her life, Joyce enjoyed square dancing and bowling but her love of children was her greatest gift. While raising a family of five, Joyce embarked on a very successful career as Maritime Supervisor with Lindor Ltd that spanned two decades; she then went on to raise two of her granddaughters to adulthood and has throughout many years been a strong supporter of World Vision. A very learned and accomplished woman leaves with fond and loving memories her son Jeffrey Sweet of Lloydminster, SK; daughters Kelly Sweet (Bunk) of Boutilier's Point, Keri MacCulloch (Brian) of Middleton, and Susan Bower of Lakeside; brothers Earl (Jeannie) Forsyth Jr. of Steam Mill and Mark (Joyce) Forsyth of Cambridge; sisters Barbara Armstrong(Ron) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Jean Stampeen(Joe) of North Side East Bay, Cape Breton; grandchildren Phillip, Trevor, Megan, Morgan, Cameron, Sophie, William, and David; great-grandchildren Makayla, Madison, and Raidyn, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Leroy Sweet in 2003; son Michael Sweet in 2013 and grandson Bryce in 1996. In keeping with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to World Vision, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association.
