Linda(Lynda) Harpell
Born in Orillia, Ontario
But raised in the East
You were a girl of Urbania, Nova Scotia
A loving daughter and artiste
A gifted writer and voracious reader
A lover of all things furry
Always quiet, not a leader
Never really in a hurry
Growing up with country, summer days
Working on the farm, in the woods and the sun
Lazy rainy days of Monty Python, Star Trek and fun
Your days at university Saint Marys, was it not?
Where you spread your wings with all your work
For a Masters, Cum Laude, you fought
To graduate and work each day
So close to books held dear
To grow and speak to a larger world
About poverty and fear
Then troublesome times beset you
Of that so well aware
The person locked inside you
Was always of good cheer
MS is not a kind master
It took so much from you
Long before your time you left
A shell of what had grew
You know that you will be greatly missed
But know that day will come
For you to stand and take your place
Among the greatest throng
Because you grew to know the name
Of the Almighty One
So take your rest, sleep well, my dear
You deserve to take your leave
And know that when you awake, we will be standing there
A Memorial Tree was planted for Linda
We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ the staff at Serenity Funeral Home
