So sad to hear of Joan's passing. Staff at Dutchy's enjoyed many interesting conversations with Joan during the years the business was in operation. We all learned much from her as she had a keen interest in many areas. Her great sense of humor, empathy and understanding brightened our work days and lightened our hearts. For many years afterwards we all felt we had a special bond with this wonderful woman and always looked forward to seeing her out & about the town. Sincere condolences to her family.

So sad to realize that such a wonderful person has left us. Joan was such a classy lady, she always looked like she stepped from a fashion magazine, and was so witty. I have missed her visits to the office. Pam , you did take such good care of her. take care.

What a great and very classy lady. Have missed our chats and her inquiries about my Nan these last couple of years. Very much a city girl in a small town but always seemed to make the best of it like so many other strong war brides. My thoughts are with your family today.

I am very sorry for your loss, Joan was such a wonderful lady. I first met Joan while working at Lawtons and always loved to talk to her, Joan always had a great story to tell us. I remember the last time I seen her in Berwick with daughter Pam and was so glad to have our little chat like we always did. She truly was a treasure!

My heartfelt condolences to you Pam, and your family. Joan was so lucky to have you in her life, especially in her final days, with such love and care. May she rest in true peacefulness.
I always enjoyed saying hello, and she was always so sweet, polite, and responsive, and I think liked the little bit of interaction. I had no idea what an incredible life she led, until I read her Obituary. What an amazing woman!!
I hope you all find comfort in knowing that she led a wonderful full life, and will one day be in her beloved England, and forever in your hearts.

Beautiful Aunt Joan will always be remembered in our hearts for her liveliness wit and humour. I will never forget when I was sick with a cold she brought me a chewable vitamin C to help me get better. Loved forever Niece Carla
